Software Testing Engineer

Develops, codes, integrates, tests (unit level) and debugs high quality embedded software from requirements and software architecture;
Prepares documentation on technical solutions, sw modules, problem descriptions, etc;
Participates in peer review of software requirements specifications, software architecture design and code review;
Supports the embedded software architect in the analysis of end customer requirements and DENSO Thermal Systems requirements;
Participates in software architecture design;
Performs unit testing of modules and performs debugging;
Ensures maintenance of delivered code;
Verifies that the code meets the metrics and thresholds reported in the appropriate plans (wrap level, cyclic complexity, comment density, etc.

Creates the Test Plan/Test Specifications defining the strategies, test benches, tools to be adopted during the testing phase;
Participates in peer review of the Test Plan/Specifications;
Analyzes the test basis (such as system/software requirements, software integrity level, architecture, design, interfaces) and evaluates testability of requirements provided by software engineers and customer;
Designs test cases and creates bi-directional traceability (as per Automotive-SPICE) between test base and test cases, creates test scenarios for test cases;
Executes regression tests or retests for planned deliverables, records results;
Records errors found during testing and provides test summaries as appropriate for each project deliverable;
Supports the embedded software engineer to execute unit tests.
