    Education and Experience Required:

    BA or BS in Marketing; MBA preferred.
    5+ years marketing and research experience.
    Project management experience a plus.
    Knowledge and Skills:

    In-depth knowledge of marketing fundamentals and tools.
    Working knowledge of research vendor management, agency practices and procedures.
    Familiarity with and/or experience in segment marketing.
    Excellent written and oral communications skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills; ability to manage virtual teams.
    Strong negotiating skills.
    Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and functional disciplines.
    Strong ability to influence and drive consensus.


    Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.


    Conduct primary market and customer research.
    Participate in the development and execution of syndicated and secondary research that HP is sponsoring.
    Develop and maintain marketing and customer research database.
    Provide market intelligence such as marketing sizing analyses and industry trends for product/services/solutions to support marketing planning and development.
    Define research projects, write RFPs, negotiate pricing on individual projects, manage projects outsourced to vendors, present results.
    Monitor and report on market and industry trends and interpret industry reports to determine applicability for each business unit and solutions group.
    Communicate project insights with Market Intelligence team regularly.
