    The Index Data Processing Platform (IDPS) is a program whose main purpose is to drive improvements across data collection, data management and data governance resulting in improved efficiencies, robustness, and the ability for our business to use our data as an asset by driving both cost savings and revenue opportunities. Some of the outcomes and benefits of this program include:

    Role Description:

    We are looking to fill a Technical Data Analyst role which will play an integral role in the ongoing application & data analysis, design, requirements, management, governance, enhancements, and maintenance of the data platform which will span a broad range of data and functionality. While constantly driving innovation and working on complex technical and business challenges every day, this team member will provide subject matter expertise and analysis, work closely with business users, other BAs, PO's, PMs and other team members to understand business requirements, profile and map data, and help the team to develop quality technical solutions that are aligned with the business and Platform strategies while ensuring compliance with the organization's data management standards. In this role, the Technical Business Analyst will also be responsible for helping to troubleshoot complex technical and/or business issues. This role will be based in Fort Mill, SC or London, England on the Data Management Team within Shared Tech Data Services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Data Analysis, Profiling and Mapping
    • Profiling analysis for prioritized data feeds:
    • Profile, examine and analyze data within IDPS, new or updated data feeds, data distribution requirements
    • Identify data patterns, consistency, data quality issues, risks, overall data trends
    • Create a summary of the data as well as document critical data insights
    • Populate Data Profiling matrix (as defined by LSEG) for the specified vendor feed
    • Develop attribute level findings based on source files received from the vendor
    • Develop vendor feed definitions and associated business rules (at attribute level)
    • Populate Field Descriptions matrix with relevant information from source files and feed documentation (e.g., attribute name, attribute definition, data type)
    • Review Attribute Descriptions and identify inadequate or blank definitions
    • Develop / propose definitions as needed
    • Create business and data quality rules based on observations from profiling analysis
    • Deliver mapping documentation to development team:
    • Obtain table/attribute names and metadata from Source Files and Staging tables
    • Identify and map attributes to IDPS Tables and Columns
    • Reconcile tables and columns between source and physical database and Identify discrepancies
    • Identify potential new attributes to be added to physical database
    • Review and obtain approval for all attribute definitions, business rules and mapping documents created for the data feeds with the appropriate business stakeholders
    • Review and obtain approval for all mapping documents, business rules and data quality rules with appropriate product owner and development manager
    • Work with business stakeholders to understand business process specifically related to data needs and how they will be using data
    • Understand use cases and requirements for: Data use cases for integrating and using IDP Data, Data Mapping to the common data model, Data quality and transformation rules, Exception Management rules, User Interface, Business Intelligence dashboards and reports, Analytics use cases such as Predictive and Text Analytics
    • Initiate, oversee, direct and/or coordinates complex data analysis projects, for single or multiple workstreams
    • Generate documents and/or presentations summarizing and providing in-depth analysis of IDP Projects
    • Work with accountable execs and operations teams to obtain an understanding of the various data sources and help to make sure that IDP is used as a central repository for vendor data management
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data - Identify any discrepancies in the data and in the event that data is not being captured correctly, work with the appropriate members of the IDP team or BAU support team to resolve the issue and ensure that the data is accurate and the data integrity is maintained
    • Interact and consult with the appropriate internal and external parties to ensure an understanding of factors that affect the business data and possible sources of variation. Act as an independent consultant, providing guidance in data analysis to members of the extended team including data operations and product teams
    • Answer pressing business questions by processing requests into visualizations/analyses/insights and be able to concisely deliver the main takeaways in both written and verbal forums
    • Dive into large diverse data sets, uncovering insights, and providing impactful recommendations
    • Connect the dots across channels through data to provide a holistic view of the data universe within IDPS
    • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions

    Experience/Skills:

    • 3-5 years of experience in Business Analytics/Intelligence, Data Analytics or a similar role
    • 3-5 years on large scale data integration projects such as data warehousing and data lakes
    • 3-5 years data management experience - MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance
    • Experience and knowledge of SAP Hana, Hana Analytics Tools a plus
    • Some experience or solid understanding of ETL
    • Data Modeling experience and knowledge
    • Solid SQL skills
    • Expert in thriving in a highly collaborative environment as well as in an independent capacity
    • Effective data communication skills, possessing the ability to transform large data sets into meaningful dashboards which can be converted into actionable sources of information.
    • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels
    • Working Knowledge of SAP Hana and Data Intelligence a Strong Plus

    Work Experience & Education:

    • 3+ years of Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Business Intelligence
    • 3+ Years Data Integration and/or Analytics experience
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
    • Background in Financial Services Technology preferred

    IT Skills:

    • Expertise with Data integration and Analytics concepts
    • Data Warehousing and Data Lake understanding and experience
    • Understanding of Data Modelling, Data Quality and Data Governance concepts and tools

    Soft Skills:

    • Very strong communication, presentation and documentation skills
    • Agile development processes (SCRUM and Kanban)
    • Experience with Jira
