    ROLE SUMMARY & PURPOSE

    A Programme Management Office Analyst is required to join the Investment Technology Delivery organisation.

    PMO Analyst will report to the PMO Manager be part of the broader Investment Solutions PMO team.

    A PMO should act as an information hub for the programmes and projects it supports. PMO should add value to these programmes and projects through the knowledge, experience and skills of its staff. The PMO has a key role to play in coordinating programme and project assurance activities including the scheduling of Gateway reviews, if appropriate.

    Investment Solutions Technology Delivery Team oversee the end-to-end technical delivery of the projects, bringing new capabilities to the market or implementing large scale changes to existing products, covering the full software development lifecycle within the stipulated program timeline/budget.

    The technology delivery teams are currently enhancing a range of powerful Applications that help customers understand the markets and make crucial decisions while helping them to connect to the world's largest verified directory of financial professionals on a platform that acts as a catalyst for innovation in global financial services industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • support a project governance framework to have a structured approach to govern the projects.
    • centralize information and deliver it to the right stakeholders.
    • focus on requesting, collating and reporting programme and project information for senior managers
    • add services around providing basic best practice advice and guidance as well as resources like standards and templates for common documents or processes
    • provide specialist programme and project consultancy in areas such as business case, risk management or benefits realisation and perhaps even some short-term programme and project management input
    • forecast and Enable Resource Capacity Planning
    • streamline and Automate Processes and Workflows
    • enables team efficiency by facilitating knowledge transfers between departmental project teams. It makes project plans, reviews, templates, and documentation widely available to concerned members, saving time and costs that would have otherwise gone into rework.
    • ensure that there is an efficient framework for seamless team collaboration and communication among team members
    • eliminate silos of spreadsheets with a single resource plan
    • create visibility of resource capacity, competency, and availability for all stakeholders
    • establish a real-time resource scheduling to accommodate the fast-changing ground reality
    • establish multi-dimensional viewing and overcome challenges of matrix structure
    SCOPE & IMPACT

    Programme management office (PMO) is a central place to make sure company standards, procedures and practices are being followed to ensure projects are successful. PMOs implement and consolidate best practices and processes within the organization. Where possible, they standardize the process across all departments and services. A PMO can implement a repeatable project delivery process so that organizations can readily manage and deliver projects. The department also provides consistent project management guidance, methods, systems, tools and metrics for consistent project outcomes throughout the organization. This maintains consistency between project managers working on different projects, across different departments.

    A PMO helps disseminate a common project culture and mindset by informing, communicating and training employees about different techniques, methodologies and best practices in the industry. It also helps to develop a common project language by defining milestones, metrics and KPIs so that everyone is on the same wavelength

    The key project management office roles and responsibilities are to:

    • Provide a structured governing project management body
    • Provide a central repository for all projects and project information
    • Provide a centralized management structure for all project management functions
    • Provide project portfolio reporting capabilities
    • Outline a well-defined project management process or methodology
