    Requirements

    Your Qualifications:

    Education: Degree Level in relevant subject (e.g. Finance, Economics) or relevant experience;
    Experience: 2-3 years of work experience in similar position;
    Deep knowledge of general payroll systems from one or more countries;
    Thorough understanding of Payroll processes and systems;
    Experience in country legislation related to payroll;
    Excel at intermediate level is essential;
    Experience of largescale HR/Payroll systems is essential;
    Advanced level of English language.

    Responsibilities

    Your Challenges:

    Participates Provide 1st line support for resolving payroll queries within defined SLAs, escalating to the Senior Payroll Specialist as required;
    Contact person to maintain and enhance existing 3rd party interfaces i.e. 3rd party benefits providers;
    Validate initial payroll results for the defined employee groups/union contract region;
    Provide coaching for colleagues on payroll related issues. Ensure personal knowledge of payroll specific information is maintained and shared across team;
    Identify requirement for change requests and highlight to Senior Payroll Specialist to ensure ongoing policy and business process changes are reflected in the payroll solution;
    Support delivery of discrete country payroll related processes throughout the year (i.e. year-end salary change, bonus, year-end reconciliations, etc.);
    Proactively identify processing issues and areas for process improvement. Propose and implement solutions to address issues or areas for improvement;
    Support Senior Payroll Specialists who liaise with the 3rd party payroll provider on issues with and enhancements to the payroll solution;
    Support in ensuring all payroll related processes are compliant with country tax and social security legislation;
    Support in ensuring all payroll related processes are compliant with relevant internal and external audit requirements i.e. CASRA, SARBOX, External Tax & Social Security Authorities;
    Ensure payroll related processes correctly represent company policy and are compliant with appropriate legislation i.e. Maternity, PHI etc.;
    Develop an effective working relationship with client group and related departments across the business to ensure a streamlined service is provided to the customer;
    Take part in projects where required;
    Proactively identify processing issues and areas for process improvement. Propose and implement solutions to address issues or areas for improvement.
