Mechanical Engineer Extrusion (HQ position) - Tires

Mechanical Engineering University degree Minimum 3 years of previous experience in Mechanical Maintenance Manufacturing Industry experience is a plus Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD is mandatory

Note - Engineering headquarters support function, located in Romania

* Perform trend scouting and benchmark activities regarding equipment and production processes
* Identify and analyze alternative processes and equipment in order to provide competitive and advanced production technology
* Develop, improve and implement of concept of new machine types & modification of existing machines based on benchmarking and future technical requirements of tire manufacturing process in cooperation with our internal and external stakeholders Engineering
* Specify, standardize and optimize competitive manufacturing technologies for equipment under consideration of latest product and process requirements (tire design, quality, environmental ergonomics, process cost (TCO), sustainability and safety aspects
* Develop, implement & maintain business systems that support tire manufacturing processes
* Evaluate machine/equipment request in terms of technical compliance & invest/cost needs from tire plant
* Evaluate supplier quotation, implement and acceptance of competitive production technology, including commissioning and ramp-up
* Perform the development, realization and roll-out of upgrade concepts for older production equipment to avoid significant investments
* Develop, improve and implement machines Project Management
* Participate and fulfill dedicated project deliverables according to the requirement given by the project manager
* Lead "small" projects (machine development projects) by respecting time, budget and methods Value Creation
* Perform value engineering (TCO & Value for money) by understanding & influencing the KPIs
* Develop and implement efficiency measures for manufacturing production technology
* Apply continuous improvement of machinery in regards to safety, quality, efficiency, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, energy consumption
* Support the plants in case of breakdown of equipment
* Cooperate with suppliers to implement measures to ensure an appropriate supplier portfolio" Leadership, Development & Trainings
* Build up network with plants & other central functions in the tire organization
* Document and share created knowledge and lesson learnt in the organization and as input in specification
* Perform trainings for the team members


* Mechanical Engineering University degree
* Minimum 3 years of previous experience in Mechanical Maintenance
* Manufacturing Industry experience is a plus
* Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD is mandatory
* Project management knowledge involving suppliers & external partners
* Technical training skills
