    Job Description

    Role Summary

    Define and implement best practice standards for Project and Programme delivery in line with corporate strategic direction, acting as Subject Matter Expert for delivery teams in Technology.

    Director, Group Technology PMO

    Key relationships & committees

    Director, Group Technology Portfolio, Delivery Optimisation Director

    Responsibilities

    • Create and facilitate a community of PMO professionals within Technology, to share best practice and ideas for improvement, and to keep abreast of changes to standards and tooling.
    • Act as a focal point for Technology in the collation and assessment of required changes and enhancements to the Group-wide Change Framework and Clarity PPM tooling solution.
    • Utilise industry best practice to help shape and iterate requirements for change governance.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to the PM community on how to apply best practice techniques, with particular focus on building business cases and demonstrating benefits.
    • Undertake maturity reviews against Change Framework capabilities, identifying areas requiring education and development for delivery teams.
    • Actively advocate for best practice change standards across delivery teams

    Knowledge & Behaviours

    Technical/ job functional knowledge

    • Solid understanding of the Group Change Framework
    • Strong understanding of Clarity functionality (current and potential)
    • Demonstrable experience in delivery PM/PMO roles

    Leadership & management experience

    • Able to work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team, providing advice and coaching to stakeholders at various levels in line with subject matter knowledge.

    Personal skills & capabilities

    • Eloquent and articulate, with an ability to explain complex subjects in a clearly. understandable way.
    • Autonomous thinker, takes a high level view of requirements and works under own initiative to provide clear solutions that deliver the ask.
    • Adaptable to rapidly changing environments and requirements.
    • Comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
