Consultant for global Oracle Database team - IT TSR

Job Description:

- Design and implement architecture for database server and cloud services within Continental Group IT;

- Management of Oracle Database, middleware environment as well as cloud environments (AWS/Azure);

- Steering of external service providers for on-premise and private cloud operations;

- Consulting of customers regarding Group IT Infrastructure server and cloud services, with a focus on Oracle database systems;

- Implementations of corporate standards and processes in all central data centers and cloud environments;

- Support the follow-the-sun approach as a member of the global team in Asia, Americas and Europe;

- Manage and support IT projects and sub-projects related to the deployment of Oracle Server systems/services.

Job Requirements:

- Computer Science or equivalent studies minimum (Bachelor's Degree);

- Well organized technical planning and problem-solving skills;

- Coordination skills (customer/vendor management);

- Project/process management skills;

- Ability to creatively solve problems with minimal guidance, while maintaining a timely, cost effective approach;

- Fluent in English (German a plus);

- Professional experience in Oracle environments;

- Knowledge of current Oracle versions, related services and features;

- Knowledge of current administration and monitoring technologies;

- Knowledge of Oracle Cluster environments (RAC);

- Knowledge of Linux server and storage systems, as well as cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
