Database Administrator

We are a full-cycle software development company delivering high-performing solutions and services designed to answer the specific needs of each of our clients. We are specialized in data management web, mobile and BI applications based on Microsoft or IBM technologies, on cloud or on-premise.

We are looking for a DBA who is willing to work for international projects.
Even if the person holding this position will provide support for global clients, the main activity will be developed at EXE Software’s office in Bucharest.

What we are looking for:

• University degree or equivalent work experience on computer sciences;
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and Transact SQL Language;
• Understanding of security, indexing, performance monitoring, backups, database tuning and troubleshooting;
• Knowledge on Azure database features
• Experience in working with large amount of data;
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Collaborative attitude towards working within a development and support team;
• Good use of English language (comprehension, written and speech);

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Perform database performance improvements;
• Ensure Maintenance plans, backups, database configuration. Use high-speed
transaction recovery techniques and backup data;
• Troubleshooting and fixing performance issues
• Support software developers with database operations including the development of
complex SQL, tuning of data models and the creation of stored procedures
• Analyzing the requirements and the tasks received;
• Building new features in existing applications following user stories;
• Writing clean and maintainable code by respecting coding standards.
