Discipline Project Leader for Sample Production VNI HMI - TSR

The Sample Production from Timisoara is responsible for the manufacturing of the prototypes related to the specific BU ID projects such as Instrument Cluster, Head up Displays, Free Programmable Clusters and Interior Camera. Our experts develop the prototypes in a close collaboration with the R&D project teams and the Process Technologies department, in order to meet customer requirements. A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization. The role of a Sample Project Leader is to manage ample production projects according to the company's established development and project management methods and processes within the planned budget. Also, to lead and manage the project team in order to meet the project and customer's timing and quality targets. The responsabilities of a Project Leader are:

* Participate in the quotation team (if assigned during this phase);
* Responsible for developing and maintaining Sample Production Plan with cost, quality and timing throughout samples development phase;
* Responsible for planning of tasks and assigning them to project team members;
* Tailor optional activities according to the projects needs and follow the defined processes;
* Responsible for coordinating and controling project activities and assure they are in line with the project plan;
* Regular progress control of development activities and report the status to other Discipline Project Leader/ Technical Project Leader/ Project Manager. Manage issues, problems and conflicts;
* Responsible for regular budget reviews at sample production level;
* Offers support to Technical Project Leader in project reviews (gate, milestones, engineering release);
* Participate in establishing and managing technical relationships with all internal and external parties (e.g. customer, suppliers);
* Makes sure that the working procedures are implemented in the samples build in order to meet the quality standards;
* Ensures quality and in time delivery of the samples within the agreed timing. Check and control quality standards for complete sample project, in the disciplines: mechanics, electronics and testing;
* Participate in establishing and managing technical relationships with all internal and external parties (e.g. customer, suppliers);
* Responsible for actively managing and optimizing the use of resources on project;
* Contribute with input for performance evaluation of team members to line management;
* Contribute to the processes definition and improvement. Proposes solution for improvement in his area of expertise, process, procedures;
* For Safety relevant projects: the related tasks will be fulfilled according to the internal Safety Management Procedures/ Methods.
* Control safety criteria in own area of responsibility. Develop, introduce and drive measures in order to avoid safety cases;
* Manage platforms/ complex sample production project (or multiple small projects in parallel);
* Performs 100% project coordination activities.

Requirements:

* University degree (e.g. Mechanics, Management in Production and Transportation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics, Automatics) or relevant professional experience;
* Ability to lead and manage a sample production project within the specified time, budget and quality framework to the satisfaction of the customer;
* 3 years relevant technical experience;
* 2 years Project Team experience in a specific domain;
* Ability to define and delegate tasks and other responsibilities to the team members;
* Technical Knowledge in discipline area (SW, HW, ME or Testing);
* Planning, Controlling and Reporting skills, ability to provide lessons learned;
* Know-how of Product Life Cycle, company specific development process and other standards applicable in the industry or functional field.
