Economist/Accountant General Ledger

The ContiTech division develops, manufactures and markets products, systems and intelligent components made of rubber, plastic, metal and fabric. They are used in machine and plant engineering, mining, agriculture, the automotive industry and other important sectors of the future.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Making and submitting the fiscal statements (VAT, Intracommunity sales and supplies, Income Tax etc) to Romanian fiscal authorities and also to German and French ones (for VAT and interstate).
Monthly checking and consolidation of the balance sheets of the two production units inside our company for Romanian legal purposes and reports.
Monthly checking of the Sales and Purchase Journal.
Quarterly calculation of the production cost and income tax.
Making the transfer pricing documentation and also the related reports with the transactions with all the Continental Group companies (using Continental TX¬matching and Global Doc application).
Issuing the self invoices for German and French VAT purposes (as the company is VAT registered in these countries).
Checking and posting of the VAT related to write offs and inventory differences for inventories.
Monthly closing of the VAT G/L accounts.
Preparing of the information needed for submitting the royalties files to Romanian tax authorities. Managing the correspondence with Romanian, German and French tax authorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (Accounting/ Economic Sciences.
3+ years accounting experience required - gained in multinational companies would be a plus.
English - Conversational level (written and spoken).
Previous working experience in SAP would be a plus.
Ability to work with figures and large amounts of data.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
