Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Experienced IT Professional with technical skills and aptitude
- Keen interest in Information Technology and new and emerging trends
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish and develop relationships with multiple customer and IT groups
- Customer first mind-set and ability to drive process improvement
- Bachelor Degree

Desired:
- Familiarity with Ford IT and specifically Infrastructure processes
- Flexible with the ability to learn technical/system details where appropriate
- Knowledge of Agile tools and processes
- Knowledge of Voice and Audio Conferencing Collaboration technologies

Key responsabilities:
Follow the Ford Conference Room Planning Process, multiple outputs expected in parallel.
- Receive a ticket for customer request for a new or upgrade of existing conference room.
- Meet with the internal business customer to review customer requirements and conference room technology needs.
- Conduct a conference room site survey (physically or virtually, depending on complexity) in order to deliver a design.
- Create design (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio – well communicated in English) using Ford Global standards and explain / present verbal to UC management for design exception approval for any deviations / custom rooms.
- If required by business customer, create high level estimate for customer to identify budget availability.
- Create elevation drawings and signal flows.
- Request cost estimates from all parties (equipment vendors, trades, property management, etc.) for the conference room project.
- Present and explain, in business terms technology recommendation to Ford customer.
- Create elevation drawings and signal flows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio- well communicated in English using Ford Global standards and explain/present verbally to UC management for design exception approval for any deviations / custom rooms.
- Create drawings and request cost estimates from all parties (equipment vendors, trades, property management, etc.) for the conference room project.
- Present technology recommendation to Ford customer.
- Once customer approves design, Planner will provide signal flows and drawings to vendors to provide actual cost for room build. Requests for firm pricing proposals for equipment, installation, trades work, etc. to provide final pricing to customer.
- Planner will then enter RFQ, and Requisitions for equipment orders and coordinate all aspects of conference room installation to successful completion.
- Planner will work with Internal Ford teams to open Change Control tickets for equipment configuration and equipment commissioning to ensure Ford standards and room meets customers desired room experience.
- Planner will work with vendor to coordinate onsite visits for installation of equipment, electrical, network services, property management for construction needs, etc.
- Planner will confirm job is complete, collect equipment documentation, serial numbers, etc. and make sure the information is added to the Ford global directory for post installation service and support.
- Travel may be necessary to support Ford customers for new conference room build requests and project management.
