Gi Group is hiring a HSQE Engineer for it's Client, an American company specialized in engineering, development and manufacturing of turbochargers and related forced induction systems for ground vehicles from small passenger cars to large trucks and industrial equipment and construction machinery.
Ideal candidate:
Technical University Degree (mandatory);
Minimum 3 years HSE experience preferable in automotive/ oil & gas/ manufacturing sectors;
Good communication skills (writing, speaking) in English, both technical and non-technical;
Computer and organizational skills required;
Labor protection inspector according to Government decisionmandatory);
Risk assessor according to Government decisionmandatory);
Fire inspector certification and Environmental responsible certification are preferred;
Internal auditor for ISand ISmandatory) and external auditor for ISand ISpreferred);
Internal/ external auditor for ISwould be a plus;
Nebosh certificate would be a plus;
Cognitive skills: analytical and problem solving skills, as well as ability to provide a sound and reliable judgment in complex situations.
Responsibilities:
Promote the HSE culture by conducting dedicated trainings, organizing campaigns and disseminate the HSE information towards the employees regularly;
Ensure the necessary support for designing, implementing and maintaining the local HSE Integrated Management System, according with Corporate policies/ objectives/ procedures and ISO, ISand ISstandards;
Ensure the necessary support for the implementation of the following activities at the department level: Risk assessment, Training, Machinery safety and equipment safeguarding, Contractor safety, Cranes and hoists, Ladders and scaffolding, Fall protection, Walking and working surface, Industrial hygiene, Fire prevention, Loss prevention;
Provide the necessary support for the employee’s representatives from each department being member of the Health & Safety Committee;
Involved in self-assessment audit, findings follow-up and actions closure;
Testing the emergency response system by conducting theoretical & practical drills/simulations as per the plan;
Ensure the emergency response equipment inspection, maintenance and regular testing is conducted;
Issue the hot work permits and verify the pre-existing conditions to perform the activity safely;
Update the emergency response plan and all related documents whenever required;
Ensure the interface with the providers of firefighting and fire detection services;
Provides support for internal & external audits on loss prevention and environmental protection;
Provide regular training (theoretical & practical) to internal emergency response team members;
Liaison with local authorities (Emergency Situation Inspectorate, Environmental Agency, Territorial Labor Inspectorate) and facilitate any audit if required;
Conduct regular inspections on site regarding fire prevention;
Focal point in case of biological risks are identified. Act as civil protection officer;
Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for the workplaces/ workstations (including ergonomics analysis);
Validate new products from HSE standpoint by conducting specific Risk Assessment;
Document & maintain the data base for HSE Key Performance Indicators reporting (weekly, monthly, yearly etc.);
Conduct safety induction for new employees whenever required;
Develop and provide data analysis and reports to the plant management and authorities accordingly;
Update the HSE documentation whenever required.
