    We are looking for a highly skilled Operational Risk Manager to own improvement of risk management maturity within our division, so we can better respond to evolving technology, operational and regulatory risk landscapes.

    You'll be responsible for driving improvements in governance, compliance, process, tooling, and simplification of within-division risk management capabilities. This role also coordinates delivery of initiatives designed to mitigate risk, for instance business continuity, audit, and security, across Foundation Services' technology capabilities such as Server, Private Cloud and Storage.

    With the rapidly developing regulatory landscape, the Operational Risk Manager will also need to coordinate within-division compliance efforts to align with UK FCA PS21/3 and EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) regulations and other relevant industry standards.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Act as the central point of contact for all risk-related matters in Foundation Services and facilitate the resolution of relevant issues.
    • Oversee the divisional Risk Book of Work, including Operational Risk, Business Continuity, and delivery of remediation activities contributing to improvements in Risk posture.
    • Coordinate divisional response to internal audits, external audits and corporate attestation related matters, including partnering with relevant SMEs to resolve audit findings.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues to capture and respond to business objectives and risk tolerance levels.
    • Lead risk and control assessment activities to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
    • Analyze risk metrics to drive effective risk mitigation strategies.
    • Deliver clear updates about risk profile and mitigation efforts to management.
    • Identify key areas for improvement in the technology and operational risk landscapes, and through partnership with SMEs, drive the adoption of measures that improve risk management capability.
    • Partner with I&C and Risk team members to develop LSEG's Risk Culture, promoting partnership and building shared accountability for operational risk management

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • A proactive self-starter, able to manage complex workloads and contending priorities autonomously.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills
    • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Confident in principles of project/programme management
    • Subject matter expertise in IT frameworks and familiarity with IT industry standards.
    • Highly skilled at collaborating with and driving outcomes from cross-functional teams.
    • Able to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
    • Skilled in Microsoft O365 tools. Asana, ServiceNow and PowerBI experience advantageous.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in IT, or related field.
    • 5-10 years' experience in risk management or similar field. Extensive experience with a focus on technology or operational risks is needed.
    • Professional certification such as CRISC, CISM or CISA are preferable.
