    Overview

    The IT Service Continuity (ITSC) Manager develops, implements, and maintains ITSC governance. They provide thought leadership across the organization. This includes reporting the status of Technology services and their response capability for severe technical disruption. The role also involves supporting large IT disaster recovery tests, working with partners, and driving continuous improvement of the ITSC function. The candidate must be delivery focused, and motivated by achievements.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Applies understanding and knowledge of industry standard processes to implement Technology SCM programmes.
    • Supports the development and implementation of continuity plans and processes.
    • Supports Technology groups in aligning with relevant policies and standards.
    • Governs resilience & recovery testing across business and technology teams.
    • Provides ongoing support and training of resilience & recovery processes
    • Coordinates the provision of key management information for risk committees and working groups.
    • Develops and maintains positive relationships across the three lines of defence, with a view to assessing business information throughout the year and updating risk assessments.

    Required Skills

    • 10+ years of management & governance of Service Continuity Management.
    • 1+ years of Business Continuity Management.
    • Experience in planning large technical resilience & recovery tests.
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good understanding of relevant regulations and standards.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • ITIL certification.
    • BCI or DRII certifications
    • Experience with other IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ISO/IEC 20000, 27005 and COBIT.
