Senior Project Engineer – Water Pumps

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will take full responsibility and be part of mechanical engineering team in a bid or execution project for power plants and corresponding decarbonized and hybrid solutions. You will manage and participate in execution of mechanical sub systems / components of power plant projects especially with respect to pumps.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Full responsibility for cost, quality and time schedule for a bid or execution project, including supplier and contract management activities

• Be part of mechanical engineering team in a bid or execution project for power plants and corresponding decarbonized and hybrid solutions
• Proposal engineering: evaluation /. commenting of customer specification, questionnaire, deviations, compilation of proposal documents, cost calculations & info regarding transport / erection for mechanical scope
• Manage and participate in execution of mechanical sub systems / components of power plant projects especially with respect to pumps

o Evaluation of customer contract (specifications and requirements) o Preparation of technical specifications and inquiry documentation o Coordination and optimization of interfaces (piping, electrical, I&C, layout) o Supervision of contractor time schedules and costs o Participation in design review process o Review of contractors engineering manufacturing- and quality documentation o Coordination of the preparation of customer documentation o Coordination of contractors with project and site requirements o Claim Management and negotiation

• Supplier development and qualification
• Supervision and reporting of engineering hours, deadlines, quality and costs for the respective mechanical scope
• Trouble shooting

What You Bring

• Bachelor´s degree in the field of Engineering or other related field
• You have already gained more than 10 years of professional experience in plant engineering and supplier handling and execution of international project
• Strategic orientation with a detailed knowledge of products and plant components, services and markets of industrial power plant & Combined Heat and Power solution business
• Customer focus: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to the dynamic environment
• Ability to take responsibility for components to provide the best solutions regarding budget, quality and time
• Intercultural sensitivity, in order to work in (virtual) international team
• Capability to lead cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationall
• Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense
• Capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high-quality work process
• Willingness for business travels with international contacts
• Excellent English skills

Knowledge

in general of materials, welding, mechanical processing and dimensioning of parts

of technical mechanics, machine technology, rotodynamic, fluid mechanics, design and design requirements, as well as manufacturing technology, in particular for pumps

profound knowledge and experience in troubleshooting for pump
