    A snapshot of your day

    As Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) within the Castings commodity, you're a natural team player with leadership capabilities. You will be working close with commodity managers and suppliers with a shared target to secure qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. Networking is a key for success. You will also be addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.

    How You'll Make an Impact

    • Supplier qualification with a cross-functional supplier qualification team, including assessment of supplier capabilities and initial auditing of suppliers in the assigned supplier base for (sand / hand mold) castings
    • Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Support the suppliers to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage of related tools.
    • Monitoring of supplier quality performance
    • Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the suppliers. Track implementation and effectiveness of measures. Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions of suppliers.
    • Early supplier involvement supporting the global supplier quality team in the product development process
    • Planning and execution of regular supplier audits
    • Proactive collaboration with a global team and internal customers

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering/technical field, Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience in production methods of sand / hand mold castings and heavy machining
    • Basic knowledge in NDT, especially in ultrasonic testing
    • At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing. Several years of experience in the qualification of suppliers
    • Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
    • Knowledge of related ISO & ASME Standards
    • Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
    • Very good collaboration, presentation, and communication skills
    • Basic commercial knowledge
    • Business fluent in written and spoken English
    • Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally
