    Overview

    The Head of Capital Markets Shared Technology, reporting to the Group Head of Capital Markets Technology, will lead the Capital Markets Shared Technology and deliver common capability that supports all Capital Market platforms and products.

    Responsibilities

    - Leads the Capital Markets Shared Technology including people management, quality management, budget management, communications and issue resolution.

    - Defines, implements and governs strategy and roadmap for product engineering and operational delivery for products and services that are common across all of Capital Markets capabilities, including data analytics, exchange administration in, reporting, Trade surveillance, Data science and billing, in line with Capital Markets' strategy.

    - Leads a team of technical SMEs, e.g., engineering, architecture, delivery, product, etc., for the delivery of Run and Change services to deliver business requirements.

    - Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of operational services and production systems and ensures that the agreed operational SLAs and KPIs are met.

    - Evaluates regulatory changes and implements process and technical changes to ensure compliance of platforms, systems, and associated service delivery.

    - Maintains a strong understanding of Information Security policies and standards and ensures these are communicated and acted upon within their organization

    - Set KPI / OKR's and measurements for solutions adoption and recommend ways to adapt as the markets and customer needs change.

    - Keeps abreast of technology products and services available, and implements new and emerging technologies that might affect current or future Group businesses, operational and / or regulatory capabilities

    - Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in processes, practices, external solutions, and deliverables and ensures that software and service quality are seen as watchwords for day to day working. Provides leadership, coaching and development to their team to drive commitment.

    - Cultivates strong, long-term relationships with clients to establish trusted partnership and develop tailored technology solutions

    - Manages relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and managing the resolution of raised service issues

    - Influences the wider technology community within LSEG

    - Champions and delivers an agile delivery methodology and a continuous improvement framework to drive efficiency and enable business agility

    - Ensures that all teams have been trained in appropriate methodologies and understand their role in the organization

    - Drives cost reduction of delivery and maintenance through technology and process innovation

    - Implements a governance framework for technology delivery and to ensure appropriate reporting and remedial actions are being undertaken to keep programs on track

    - Assesses multiple technology target states to identify the most favorable options, making recommendations on how to achieve these

    Key behaviors and skills

    - Extensive experience in a similar role in a large international organization.

    - Ability to build and maintain effective relationship with a division's Business and Technology collaborators.

    - Experiencing in defining a road map that is aligned with overall Technology Strategy and owning this through the full cycle of implementation.

    - Ability to effectively identify and resolve risks and issues.

    - Experience around planning, introduction, delivery services and initiatives for a technology function or sub-function.

    - Examples of where they have showcased thought leadership by identifying industry technical trends as well as customer and engineering feedback to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities.

    - Gravitas to collaborate with Board members at Executive Committee and senior Regulators.

    - Excellent collaboration skills, pipeline management and the ability to successfully deliver as part of a broader team

    - Ability to influence across multiple Divisions, Businesses and Functions

    - Experience with Technology Strategy, Technology Shared Services, Enterprise Platforms, Security, Product Engineering, Agile/Scrum, Quality Engineering, Applications Management, Technology Transformation, People Management, Budget Management.

    - Experience leading and managing teams in ambiguity in highly matrixed environment.

    - Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.

    - Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, agile methodologies, and solutions in technology.
