Java Team Leader

Infobest is a European IT consultancy with offices in Germany and Romania. We provide IT services in the areas of development, quality assurance, support and consulting. Our staff of more than 80 highly qualified professionals covers all aspects of state-of-the-art technologies in object oriented and web centered environments.

- Computer science university degree.
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns concepts and practices.
- Experience with application design, programming architecture and software lifecycle, both on back-end and front-end sides.
- Good Java development experience; other programming languages (e.g. C#, C++) are a plus.
- Strong experience with at least two J2EE frameworks (e.g. Spring, Struts, Grails, Jboss, Vaadin).
- Experience with jQuery, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
- Solid understanding of database design and programming with at least two known RDBMS (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, Postgre SQL, or MSSQL). Experience with JPA and Hibernate is a plus.
- Familiar with at least one project management methodology.
- Ability to learn fast and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Quality-oriented, attentive to details and with good work ethics.
- Good communication skills, team player, people-oriented.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.

- You are the main responsible and contact person, both for the customer and for company management, in all the technical and organizational aspects related to the application(s) you are working on (J2EE or Java desktop applications).
- You participate in clarifying requirements, and, if needed, in writing specifications.
- You out sketch the architecture of the application and guide the team in terms of code design.
- When needed, you are able to outline a project plan, with attention to potential critical paths.
- When needed, you are able to provide estimates of required effort.
- When needed, you are able to implement or contribute to the most challenging parts of coding.
- You check the overall quality of the work and cooperate with the QA team to improve it.
- You monitor and report on the effort spent, current status and progress of the project.
- You attend the team by providing help, good advice and constantly caring for team members’ skills development, coaching them if needed.
- You keep yourself informed about the latest technologies and tools, and share that knowledge with others in the company.
