Role profile

As Senior Azure Cloud Engineer you will be the key operational and hands-on technical lead to shape and drive a data platform strategy execution across all areas of the Post Trade business as part of LCH Shared Services. You will work closely with your Engineering manager as part of the Data Services team and other teams in a cross-functional set-up.

You will be responsible for contributing to future architectural decisions, including a Cloud data strategy, data warehouse modernisation and data delivery platform. Responsibilities will include Cloud solution design and architecture definition. You will act as a key member of the Data Engineering Community for Excellence, work with the product teams to design and implement modern, scalable Cloud solutions using a range of new and emerging technologies driving innovation in the data space.

Key Responsibilities

? Maintains and designs infrastructure services, designs/implements cloud components

? Has extensive commercial experience with AZURE Cloud services

? Makes technical design decisions and is able to manages high-workloads

? Develops and maintains IaC scripts which automate routine tasks related to infrastructure and server management using Terraform and Python

? Creates Jenkins/GitLab data pipelines, Azure services, provides support for Data warehouse data ingestion and transformation pipelines

? Writes IoC for AZURE using Terraform

? Defines and implements disaster recovery plans

? Develops detailed technical and operational documentation.

? Support Monitoring and Alerting infrastructure using on Datadog

? L3 Support will be required as part of the activities of the role

Requirements

? Min 8 years' experience in implementing Cloud services and Cloud automation processes

? Excellent knowledge of AZURE Cloud services/components

? Basic understanding of Data Analytics and MLOps

? Extensive knowledge on writing IoC in Terraform for AZURE

? Experience writing automation scripts in Python

? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline

Bonus skills

? Experience with Snowflake or any other Data Warehouse

? Knowledge or experience in working with and developing middleware services

? Knowledge of Kubernetes
