    Job Description

    • Oversee integration of IP advice in a dynamic environment to stimulate growth and implementation of inventions;
    • Interface with R&D teams to evaluate and support development of new technologies and to provide IP training and awareness, generate new ideas, and harvest new inventions;
    • Oversee IP lifecycle management from inception to expiration (invention disclosure review, patent specifications, drafting and response to office action notice, and maintenance of granted IP);
    • Perform patent searches, landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate analysis, and validity assessment;
    • Guide decision-making to minimize IP risk, develop launch strategies and to secure freedom to operate;
    • Negotiate IP terms of licensing, collaboration, and other agreements, and advise the company of its rights and obligations under such agreements;
    • Coordinate with outside counsel(s) and internal stakeholders;
    • Handle national and foreign patent actions (e.g., response to Office actions, post-grant oppositions, third party observations, etc.);
    • Establish and maintain corporate internal practices, procedures and technology for coordinating and streamlining patent-related information, filings, and deadlines;
    • Work within IP team to execute intellectual property strategy for corporation.

    • University degree in Electronics or Electric Engineering, Computer Technology, Telecommunication or related fields. PhD degree is a plus;
    • Minimum experience of 3 years in patent preparation and prosecution;
    • Previous experience with sophisticated contract negotiation, in particular IP provisions;
    • Experience with contested proceedings (e.g., patent litigation, oppositions etc.) is a plus;
    • English Advanced skills for writing, reading and speaking. In addition, German, Serbian or Hungarian skills would be appreciated (not mandatory, but competitively advantageous);
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve results;
    • Ability to think strategically and systematically, analyze complex business issues, and use sound judgement in deriving conclusions;
    • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and as part of a team, in a corporate environment;
    • Intercultural experience is not needed but intercultural competence is preferred.
