Private Cloud Network Engineer

ResponsibilitiesThe Private Cloud Network Engineer provides engineering support for the on premise LSEG Private Cloud software defined network infrastructure (Network as a Service, Firewall as a Service and Load Balancing as a Service) and its integration into the wider network topology.The role consists of but is not limited to:

• Provide project support as required.
• Provide warranty support during operational transition phases.
• Provide operational level 3 support for the Private Cloud network infrastructure as required. This may include on-call.

Key Skills

• 4+ years of engineering experience designing, configuring, installing, managing and troubleshooting NSX based network technologies
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with CISCO networking and advanced routing technologies in protocols like BGP and working knowledge in MPLS
• Experience in VMware technologies (VMware vSphere vCenter, ESXi, VMware Cloud Foundation (vCF), vSAN, NSX-T, vROPs, vRLI, vRNI, SRM, vRA, vRO) implementation, transition & support

Nice to have

• Level 3 experience troubleshooting/ installation/ expansion/ configuration/ management of AVI/NSX load balancers
• Level 3 troubleshooting/expansion/configuration/management of NSX-T Firewall as a Service, including vRNI and vRLI based analysis
• Integration of Cisco ACI and non-ACI network infrastructure
• Experience in Cisco ACI, non-ACI and Juniper network technologies, and their integration with NSX-T and NSX load balancing
• Experience in design, deploying and maintaining Dell and HPE server hardware (blades and rackmounts) or equivalent
• Ability to design, implement, document, test, execute and operate solutions to a very high standard
• Excellent investigation and troubleshooting skills of complex issues
• Capability to determine and highlight risks (migration risks, design risks etc.) to management
• Automation skills such as Terraform, Ansible, Git/Bitbucket, bash, Powershell/PowerCLI
