We are currently looking for a person with great analytical skills to join our Data Science Team, as a Junior Data Scientist. In this role, you will be the bridge between the day to day business and the world of Artificial Intelligence. What you will do:

• You will select features, build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques;
• You will be responsible of data mining using state-of-the-art methods;
• You will extend the company’s data with third party sources of information when needed;
• You will process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis;
• You will perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner;
• You will develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy;
• You will act as a data champion across all levels of the company, both formally and informally, help grow and develop the DataScience community within ENGIE;
• You will deliver solution as per requirements received from business teams or from more senior members of the DataScience team;
• You will build your DataScience toolkit and knowledge through self-paced learning and internal mentoring from within the DataScience team;

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

• Degree in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science;
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python. Proficiency in at least one of these is highly desirable;
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.;
• Advanced user of English language; French is a bonus;
• Basic understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms;
• Basic scripting and programming skills;
• Great communication skills;
• Data-oriented personality;
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques;
• Team player, able to guide team members towards common goals;

Represents advantage:

• Experience with data visualization tools, such as GGplot, GGplot2, etc.;
• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL;
• Experience with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP ERP or SAP IS-U;
