The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's largest Digital hub for strategic #tech projects.

Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant discipline
-3+ years of experience as a MS SQL Server and/or Azure SQL DBA
-3+ years of experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory

Required skills:
-Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
-Hands-on experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting Windows Cluster, SQL FCI Cluster and SQL Always On Availability Group
-Hands-on experience in configuring and managing activities such as backup/restore, creating SQL accounts, creating SQL agent jobs, and setting up database replications
-Experience with database migrations (migrations to cloud would be a plus)
-Basic understanding of Azure Public Cloud
-Sound troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, pro-active mindset, able to work both independently and as part of a global team
-Strong in communication and organization, be able to prioritize task and re-prioritize constantly
-Fluent spoken and written English

Nice to have:
-Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL or CosmosDB (preferably cloud hosted, i.e. Azure, AWS) is a big plus
-High interest in growing database architecture, design, implementation, and support expertise
-Microsoft certification (Azure/Database)

Context/ ROLE
As part of the company’s digital transformation, we are looking for a Cloud Database Admin, to be a member of the Global Cloud Team.

Responsibilities
Reporting to Global Cloud Manager, the Cloud DBA would be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance review of critical database systems.

The Cloud DBA will:
-Manage cloud-based database environments (IaaS and PaaS) to deliver services that meet the SLA with internal & external customers
-Configure, deploy and maintain cloud SQL (Azure and AWS) and a subset of on-premise Microsoft SQL database servers, until they are migrated.
-Work with Project Managers, Application and Architecture teams to plan and implement database improvement and/or migration projects.
-Involve in database migration projects. This includes planning, managing, and updating the respective teams on the status of the projects.
-Perform troubleshooting on any SQL related issues.
-Support and maintain data and database systems performance to meet business delivery specifications and needs.
-Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
-Ensure all IT assets comply to corporate security policies
-Leverage industry best practices in IT Service Management (ITIL), promote a quality customer support and service culture to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction
