    Cloud Platform Engineering

    Our team in LSEG Romania is building financial technology which is deployed to the world. The technology we deliver is supporting the finance world ecosystem and is shaping the global financial markets.     How? Using a multi-cloud approach:

    Utilising best in class services from each cloud provider, such as Container Orchestration, Data Warehouse, or compute resources. LSEG Cloud Platform Engineers can work across Azure, AWS & GCP which provides opportunities to learn and innovate.

    What? Platform Engineering

    Platform Engineers design, build and deploy landing zones that provide essential shared services, security integrations, network configurations and IAM boundaries that enable our developers to build cloud native world class applications that power financial markets.

    We're looking for talented engineers who are ready to move into cloud and those that are already there with experience to share. You will be joining an international team, who will welcome you and allow you to grow.

    In return we will support your development through cloud certifications via programmes such as the MS enterprise skills initiative, and let you take time out to keep your skills up to date, whether it be game days, innovation weeks or your own personal development plan.

    Role responsibilities

    • Contributes to and develops high-quality software design and architecture.

    • Designs, develops, and delivers software solutions that align with architecture, operational and risk processes.

    • Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code;

    • You may be assigned tasks in areas of creating and maintaining deployment tooling and automation to support the CI/ CD pipelines;

    • Advocate and evangelise best practice engineering;

    • Have familiarity with security and operational best practices;

    • Collaborates with internal teams (including Product Owners/Business and Client Analysis) and vendors to fix and improve products;

    • Works closely with the Research, Product and Sales teams to deliver products, services, enhancements, and solutions to meet customer needs and align with the goals of the business line.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

    * We are open to all seniority levels, from Juniors (1-2 years of experience), up to 10+ years (including People Manager and/or Technical Lead responsibilities) *
    • Hands on experience in deploying into critical production environments

    • Experience with Cloud Native technologies on at least one of the major cloud services providers (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure) would be useful, but we also need people who are keen to learn and have experience of traditional IT.

    • If you're Proficient with Git/Gitlab/Jira/Bitbucket/Jenkins, we'll be more than happy to hear from you.

    • If you're a Linux, Windows or Network professional with industry experience and need a way into cloud computing, get in touch.
