Systems Engineer Intern

About the position
The position is located at our office in Bucharest and falls under Systematic’s Defence area. As an intern, you will be a member of one of our many projects, which means that you will be co-responsible for certain parts of the software development and support our customers on equal terms with your team members. You will also get the opportunity to work with prototypes and innovation as well as new applications and features. We will prime you from the beginning and ensure that you get the courses, tools, and professional sparring, and feedback you need in order to realize the customer’s needs. The technologies you will be working with are dependent on the team and business area you will be part of.

• We are looking for someone who shares our passion for programming, who is not afraid of challenges, and who is willing to learn and help others
• You are currently a student within a technical Bachelor/Master program
• Communicate in English both verbally and in writing with many different stakeholders and at all levels of the organization
• As a person, you are responsible and curious with the necessary drive, and you work systematically with constant attention to detail
• It is the quality of your work that drives you, and you take pride in understanding complex solutions and the challenges of the customer
• We work with security classified projects and, as a Systematic employee, you require a security clearance.

Technologies:
It is not a requirement that you have experience with all the below-mentioned technologies or methods but, knowledge about one or more is helpful to you.
• Development of Web-based and scalable server solutions using Java technologies, as well as a wide variety of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, SCSS, Angular and Scala)
• Development of standalone applications, ranging from client/server to distributed solutions
• Service Oriented Architecture, Service Bus, Service Orchestration
• Web Service technologies (REST, SOAP, WS-)
• XML technologies (OIOXML, XSD, XPath, XQuery)
• Information Management and Storage (SQL Server, Oracle, Hibernate)
• Microsoft technologies (WCF, WPF, WWF)
• UML Use Case Scenarios and Design Patterns
• Scrum
