DevSchool Business Intelligence Engineer @ ING Hubs Romania

Requirements and qualifications:

• You are a student in final year of Computer Science/Cybernetics University/Electronics/Transportation or other technical field or you have finished the bachelor’s degree;
• You have participated at IT trainings related to SQL, Business Intelligence etc, such as IT Academy or other providers;
• You have analytical skills and logical thinking; you must be able to think strategically and question the logic;
• Fair knowledge of SQL and database structures will help you in this role;
• You are eager to learn a very sought-after technology like Cognos Analytics;
• We need your communication skills. We depend on your abilities to speak and understand the English language, and we count on you being customer-focused and self-organized.

As Business Intelligence Engineer, you will learn how to use data from multiple data sources.

You will get familiar with data warehousing concepts, data modelling and will get to prepare data for reporting. You will learn to understand and translate business requirements into implementation options that you will discover them at the beginning with the help of a mentor and then on your own.

You will acquire skills in developing reports and dashboards using a Business Intelligence tool and that will help stakeholders to analyze important KPIs. You will have to develop and test plans to ensure a project’s successful delivery.

Finally, you will get to understand data, find best ways to visualize it and will gain presentations skills that are verry useful in pitching your solution to the stakeholders.

This period will be split in several phases:

• Trainings on the Cognos BI functionalities: You will perform several exercises based on the presented course materials. Dev school will take 8 weeks, 1 session per week between the beginning of August and the end of September.
• Each session will last for 2 hours and will take place online (you will need a computer (laptop/pc) with a webcam)
• Mentorship phase – hands on with the existing teams: you will experience the way of working in each team: you will learn how to “translate” and technically implement stakeholders needs and get to experience the evolution of a request from an idea until implementation to production.
• Practice project – you will have to apply everything you learned in a production like project and your performance will be evaluated.



Recruiting Process Timeline:
• You can apply until the 14th of July;
• If your CV is selected, you will participate in an online technical testing phase in the 15th– 17th of July;
• If you pass the testing phase, you will participate in an interview scheduled by us somewhere between 22nd of July-2nd of August.
• The selected top 10/15 students will start their {Dev}School adventure on the beginning of August.
