    Job Description:

    The Junior Category Purchaser is actively supporting the category management in the definition of the supply strategy and negotiation with suppliers to achieve the best market conditions for Continental. During a period of 2-3 years the Junior CP will be developed to be able to fully take over the following responsibilities:



    * Conduct market analysis;
    * Update the yearly strategy with cross functional partners;
    * Ensure Continentals requirements are reflected in the strategy of the category;
    * Ensure in time implementation of correct data in the respective systems;
    * Responsible for data maintenance and target achievement in the respective systems;
    * Ensure fulfillment of requirements with legally binding contracts;
    * Actively influence the sourcing process during development phase;
    * Yearly price negotiations to constantly improve the cost situation of Continental Automotive;
    * Track improvement programs with suppliers;
    * Support re-design to cost on project level and cost reduction programs with suppliers and business Units;
    * Responsible as supplier coach for several suppliers and as interface for the assigned business units;
    * Driving innovations by supporting the introduction of new technologies within Continental.


    Job Requirements:



    * University degree (Bachelor, Master) in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering;
    * Young talents directly from university or young professionals with 1-3 years experience in purchasing, engineering, business administration, preferably within the automotive industry;
    * Good knowledge of MS Office package;
    * Fluent Business English;
    * Stress resistance, conflict resolution abilities, assertiveness;
    * Intercultural sensitivity beside good networking and communication skills.
