Chief Technical Officer

EveryMatrix is a leading B2B SaaS provider delivering iGaming software, content and services. We provide casino, sports betting, platform and payments, and affiliate management to 200 customers worldwide. The company is profitable, has over EUR 100m in annual revenues, and has 700 employees in offices across ten countries in Europe, Asia and the US. EveryMatrix was founded in 2008 and remained a founder-owned private company.

The CTO will be responsible for the development and operational support teams across the complete platform stack, from back-end transaction processing to front-end user experience on the web, mobile and other channels.

With development teams located in EveryMatrix’s development centers in Bucharest (Romania) and Lviv (Ukraine), the post holder will expect regular international travel and to meet the challenge of coordinating and ensuring smooth communication between geographically separated teams.

Requirements:

Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science/AI/Maths;
Management / Leadership Training, Organizational skills training;
Experience working in an Agile software development environment (Scrum, Kanban);
>10 years’ experience in software development;
>5 years’ experience with leading a team;
1-2 years’ experience with architecture building experience on building a software product;
Experience working with high-volume transactional platforms and payment gateways.
Previous contact with the iGaming industry is a big plus;
Required technical platform experience:
Familiarity in building and/or maintaining distributed, asynchronous, scalable systems;
Experience in micro-services with event streaming;
Managing teams using containers and specifically Kubernetes.
Desirable technical platform experience:
No-SQL, timeseries and Relational databases;
Message-oriented middleware (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka);
Advanced JavaScript front-end frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, Angular/2).

Responsibilities:

Provide technical direction and vision for the projects to the Product Department and CEO;
Follow up with company policies and making sure they are correctly implemented within the team;
Ensure team growth and motivation, including enabling paths for firing and hiring, career progression and organizational structure;
Resolve internal team conflicts and ensures team transparency;
Deliver industry best standards of platform stability and reliability for our customers;
Ensure the quality and correctness of developed software;
Be an effective communicator with other Business Units in the group as well as with 3rd party providers and clients;
Own the platform architecture and direction of technical development;
Provide relevant technical/business information to the Product Department and CEO;
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and compliances procedures are followed;
Represent the technical teams and communicate technical challenges and opportunities to business management;
Communication with customers, present or potential, on the technical aspects of GamMatrix’s and MoneyMatrix’s solutions;
Where necessary, to get ‘hands on’ and assist the development and operations teams with addressing technical challenges or diagnosing operational incidents.
