Flex Medical Design & Engineering works with top healthcare companies and has a proven record of bringing high technology, and award winning automotive devices and technologies to the market. Located in Timisoara, a new team will work with the European Lead Design Center based in Milan, Italy.
The Design Software Development Engineer will be based in Timisoara, working with other design team members, will be responsible for design and development of software architecture in order to meet customers’ requirements, from the development of conceptual prototypes and architecture, through development into full functional and tested release.

Software Development Engineer for Medical Embedded Systems

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do

• Design new software and firmware architecture for Medical Embedded Devices/Systems

• Drive the requirement definition and working together with our customers

• Develop in either procedural or object-oriented design method

• Work with other design team members on such things as HW bring up, SW test, System design, project manager

• Write source code, technical design and functional documentation

• Develop drivers, protocols, application, algorithm, BSP, through the usage of OS based or lightweight architecture

• Architect, design and deliver system software after specification of platform requirements

• Keep schedule on track

Here is some of what you’ll need

• Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering and a minimum of 3-4 years of SW design and development.

• C programming skills, 8/16/32 bit MCU architecture

• Device driver & SW architecture with and without OS

• Design for testability, capability of debugging, code instrumentation, usage of laboratory instruments

• BSP development and customization

• Bug tracking and revision control, IDE, debuggers, tracing and compiler tools

• Efficiency in communication in English
