    What you bring to the team

    • You have coaching skills and know how to stimulate people & team development
    • You demonstrate strong experience or curiosity in getting knowledge in the design, development and implementation of Agile and in Agile pratices.
    • You have a positive attitude, you think in solutions and you address failure as a positive learning ability
    • You are capable to take decisions at tactical and/or strategic level and therefore build a trusted relationship at senior management level
    • You have a genuine interest in the people around you and how you can help them to grow
    • You are able to involve and encourage others to explore ways to be/become part of the change process
    • You have excellent written and spoken English skills, as well as presentation skills

    Responsabilitati

    The Mission

    You will have the inspiring & challenging job to support your colleagues working following ING Agile Way of Working which is driven by autonomy, transparency and alignment. This way of working brings empowerment and accountability to Tribes & Squads. Ultimately, it brings added value to our customers as it helps the Squads have faster and more relevant deliverables.

    As an Agile Coach you are the facilitator, mentor and coach for our teams, helping them progress and reach their goals. You actively show your curiosity by keeping up with the latest trends and by learning from others. You help squads, their members and other colleagues adopt and improve Agile methods and practice. Your personal example encourages learning within and across teams. You know when to guide, challenge, hold back, and when to offer space to the people and teams.

    Your Day-to-Day

    Implement and develop Agile way of working / Lean
    • Ensure that the Squad members adhere to the principles of the Agile way of working / self-organized work.
    • Develop and facilitate proper trainings and others means of acquiring knowledge & experience. You will create, maintain and deliver customized Agile Training material, conduct workshops and facilitate internal community events.
    • Coach the Tribe/Squads and their team members to continue working accordingly to the agreed agile values, principles and methodology.
    • Facilitate reviews, retrospectives, stand-up meetings and planning sessions. Ensure that Agile events are held and serve their purpose.
    • Be informed on the last developments and trends related to Agile practices, change management and coaching and translate them into the way of working in the Tribes / Squads

    Build and develop High Performing Teams
    • Accompany Tribe / Squads on their development intro a self-organising team where the team members take together ownership of the specific squad purpose in order to create customer value.
    • Support the teams in building a higher performing collaboration through adequate interventions and proactively propose improvements with regards to the generic standard.
    • Challenge the team on customer focus and fast but qualitative delivery.
    • Identify and highlight issues related to process, collaboration and individual team members. Take initiative to improve and adapt the model, in order to enhance the way of working and feel-good factor for everyone.
    • Be a role model in giving feedback. Ensure the team members have the courage to proactively give feedback and thereby create a safe work atmosphere where giving and receiving feedback is the norm.
    • Encourage squad members to raise impediments regarding processes, dependencies with other areas of the bank, technical issues and others in order to solve them & streamline the squad’s outcome.
    • Coach other roles involved in the Agile Way of Working (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, Chapter Lead) towards improving their role performance;

    Stimulate collaboration within the organization
    • Identify the strengths and issues in the collaboration within the organization and take action.
    • Create viable collaboration mechanisms between Squads, PO, Chapter Leads to ensure alignment between respective stakeholders. You will mentor the POs, Scrum Masters to be self-sustaining in aligning Squads and Chapters, and in their interactions with their stakeholders.
    • Initiate the dialogue, on request or proactively, on collaboration in a way that workable Make sure agreements are made in accordance with the agile principles and the working model.
    • Organize the sharing of experience, “best- and worst practices”, knowledge and information with other Agile coaches.
    • Be recognized as a sounding partner as a result of having created yourself impact in the business environment and by having strong content knowledge.
