QA Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a QA Team Leader  to join our fast paced and dynamic team within the London Stock Exchange Group Technology Hub in Bucharest. Being part of a leading UK investment and financial services company, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of the software delivery lifecycle for regulatory, post trade, reconciliation and data solutions and the underlying UnaVista Development Platform.

We are looking for a hands on Team Leader to take ownership of software quality processes, setting metrics and control bands as per project requirements. In this role, you will:

• Participate in software lifecycle process assessments providing your strategic imput
• Represent the quality team in software project and platform governance meetings, providing regular progress updates
• Manage the team’s workload, tracking objectives, mentoring the team

As a QA Lead, you will work closely with the Platform and Solutions development teams and will be responsible for:

• Supporting product release process, managing software quality gate process
• Successfully testing to the full project delivery lifecycle according to the defined methodologies
• Assisting with the creation of documents in conjunction with other technical staff
• Completing the internal QA testing (and client facing user acceptance testing), applying appropriate change control practices to mitigate scope creep and overall project risk
• Assisting with refinement and improvement of QA processes with the purpose of improving control and efficiencies across the department

Key competencies and required skills:

• At least 3 years’ experience working as a software testing professional and 12 month’s of leading teams
• Familiar with Waterfall, Agile & other hybrid methodologies
• Good knowledge of data manipulation, enrichment, validation, normalisation
• Understanding of test automation scripts in OO or interpreted language, e.g. Java
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good English language skills
