Business Intelligence Developer

ALTEN Romania, part of the international ALTEN Group - with a unique position as Leader in IT & Engineering Consulting, provides support for its clients’ development strategies in the fields of innovation, R&D and IT systems since 1996. The company comprises 2 divisions specialized on its core capabilities: ENGINEERING and IT. These two divisions are: ALTEN TECHNO and ALTEN IT.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience in ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) process
• Strong SQL skills with 2+ years’ experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures
• Knowledge of BI domain, Database development, Data Warehouse Concepts & Architecture, Data modelling, Reporting
• Knowledge of Unix Shell/Perl scripting is considered a plus
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Experience in any programming language (preferably Java) is considered a plus

Other Requirements (Competencies):

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Self-learner and eager to learn new software tools/technologies
• Excellent communication skills

• Working with a BI solution in cloud
• Extracting data
• Analyzing, developing, testing and also offering support on new flows requested by the clients
• Transforming the logical model into physical data integration model, developing new objects in the star-schema DWH system, developing new objects (reports, dashboards) into BI application, debug and improve existing SQL scripts
