Job description

The successful candidate will coordinate and facilitate large program planning sessions, partnering with the email Product Owner to ensure project vision, roadmap, features & epics are defined, prioritized, and clearly understood. This will also require identifying and managing interdependencies across projects and overcoming project hurdles.
Objective of this role
We’re looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join the Wealth and Distribution technology team. In this role, you will support key initiatives impacting our wealth management business department.
What your days and weeks will include:
In this role, you will be responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements, understanding technical dependencies, and helping to envision creative solutions to both business and technical challenges. Candidate must be agile, collaborative and possess excellent written, verbal, and great communication skills.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree
-
5-6+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in multicultural environments

Any previous experience in asset or wealth management projects - can be an advantage (Financial Planning, Investment Management, Regulatory Reporting, Trust and Estate Planning etc.)

Individual capable of handling broad scope projects and can work independently on multiple project tasks. This includes leading business analysis across multiple parallel initiatives.

Proficient in defining business and/or systems scope and objectives, based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable industry requirements. This includes the ability to facilitate requirements, gather sessions and document business system requirements and use cases.

Waterfall and Agile methodology experience preferred
Responsibilities:

You work directly with project managers and teams, on daily basis, to gain knowledge of priority work, business value and expectations around timing to complete work to keep on track

You will influence priority program decisions and collaborate with business, technology, and operational leaders to enable teams to deliver results

Works very closely with both business and technical stakeholders and seeks opportunities to improve the way we operate business.

Assist other team members with understanding the business requirements and provides business analysts on the team with mentorship and coaching.

Participate in all phases of project planning, development and testing and collaborates with business and systems experts.

Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, data and rules

May provide oversight of overall quality of work product

Negotiate and influence requirements direction

Lead/consult on escalated support issues and root cause analysis
