    Requirements

    The IT Department of Ubisoft Romania is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator Team Lead to be responsible for supporting and developing a team of Linux System Administrators, in order to deliver high quality customer service .

    You will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will act as a third level support for the Linux systems under your responsibility.


    Your profile:
    Essential skills:
    • An extensive Linux background being technically hands-on with a real passion for the IT Industry.
    • Previous experience executing & managing IT Infrastructure Projects.
    • Hands-on experience with the following technologies: Chef, Cfengine, Zabbix, Git, Svn,AWS Cloud, OpenStack.
    • Familiar with administration tools/collaborative tools: Jira, ticketing systems, Confluence.
    • Experience with sql/no-sql databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
    Will be considered an asset:
    • Previous experience in managing a team
    • Programming experience, preferably with Ruby or Python
    • Experienced in automation and configuration management will be considered a plus
    • Apache/Nginx administration and troubleshooting experience
    • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking
    • Load Balancing experience such as Citrix Netscaler

    • Ability to lead a team

    Responsibilities

    Your tasks:

    Team management & communication
    • Contributes to team development and expertise evolution in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction for the quality of service provided by his team
    • Organizes regular team meetings for activity follow-up and knowledge transfers;
    • Offers visibility to team members regarding projects and department initiatives;
    • Is involved in the recruitment process for positions in his team.
    • Sets objectives, evaluates team members, anticipates future development needs and proposes training accordingly;

    Operational activities
    • Maintains and monitors team backlog and oversights all operational activities, including system backups and recovery, configuration management, monitoring and security
    • Handles escalations from clients and coordinates action with the PAM and the CM when necessary
    • Participates to regular meetings with the project team regarding portfolio updates and requests prioritization;
    • Cooperate and coordinate with other System Administrators, Engineers, DBA’s, Developers and Project Manager during projects;
    • Work in a matrix support environment to provide 24X5 production support
    • Evolve, monitor, maintain or even replace existing systems for continuous growth;
    • Participate in on-going performance tuning of Linux systems
    • Assist in defining new standards in response to industry trends
    • Take part in advanced end to end troubleshooting;
    • Design, support and troubleshoot RedHat cluster technologies.
