Required Skills:

• Excellent skills with excel or other reporting tool
• Good knowledge of financial basics, valuation rules.
• Good working knowledge of core processes in sales & marketing, demand management, production planning, materials management, inventory management and logistics.
• Ability to work well both in a team and independently
• Fluent English and French
• Would be an advantage to have used ERP or forecasting systems (ex: SAP)

For our office in Bucharest, we are hiring a Demand Analyst:

Position Summary:

He/She will support the Portfolio and Demand Planning process by performing many of the data collection and processing tasks in order to generate reports and increase the efficiency of the SIOP process. They will partner closely with the Demand Planners and Product Managers/Marketing leaders to prepare for meetings and help facilitate. The purpose of which is to remove the heavy data analysis work conducted by the Demand Planner and Marketing teams freeing them up to focus on the key decision making. The SIOP Analyst will have many options to progress further into other SIOP and functional roles.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Quantitative/Statistical Forecasting

• Producing the base statistical forecast for the Demand Planner by extracting historical demand data from the ERP systems and loading into the Demand Planning Software
• Cleaning the history demand for spikes and unrepeatable demand
• Valuate the plan using planned average selling prices
• Create reports by Region and Product Family to review with the demand planner
• Review the forecast with the demand planner to explain any major variances from one month to the next
• Adjusting the base statistical forecast with input provided by the demand planner
• Prepare standard volume and value reports for the Demand Review meetings
• Review and adjust statistical model and document changes
• Upload final forecasts into the relevant ERP systems

2. Portfolio and Demand Review Meetings & Reports

• Updating various analyses for Portfolio Reviews and Preparing Presentations, IOS/Glideslope data and graphs
• NPI Launch curves graphs (plan vs. actual)
• Phase Out/In graphs (plan vs. actual)
• Volume Demand Trends by LOB/Product Family/Customer/Region Updating various analyses for Demand Reviews and Preparing Presentations
• Forecast Error Exceptions reports
• Forecast Volume and Value graphs by different categories
• Forecast variations month on month
• Attend meetings capturing attendance, minutes and actions and deputizing for the Demand Planner in other SIOP meetings

3. Data maintenance and Portfolio analyses

• Review all planning parameters in Forecast Pro in accordance with Demand Planners instructions
• Update planning parameters in SAP when instructed by Product managers and Demand Planners Perform ad-hoc analyses to support Portfolio and Demand Planning activities where instructed
• Research Demand Planning and Supply chain planning best practice
• Conduct regular SIOP training and education
