    Overview

    We are looking for a Resource Manager & Finance Analyst to lead and embed the Resource Management process in the Tech M&A Portfolio

    Main Responsibilities

    • Oversee the portfolio from a resource management perspective along with engaging with Cross Functional teams to assess project requirements and allocating staff based on skills and availability and supplying data to support resource optimisation.
    • Tracking resource utilization, analyzing data, and generating reports to provide insights into resource efficiency and potential improvements whilst remaining aligning with organizational objectives.
    • Engage with Cross Functional teams, Capabilities and SME's to accurately map resource capacity and allocation across projects using the LSEG PPM Tool of choice Clarity.
    • Develop systems, processes, and training to support effective and efficient resource management.
    • Stand up and Chair the M&A Resource Forums across teams, focusing on driving the resolution of any challenges tied to resource management.
    • Ensure clear communication between Cross Functional teams and departments to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding resource availability and project status.
    • Address conflicts related to resource allocation, managing competing priorities, and finding reasonable solutions.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with resource allocation and ensuring contingency plans are in place.
    • Own any Tech M&A resource data and associated metadata that sits in Clarity and ensure its quality is upheld to a high standard. E.g. Rate cards, start and end dates, % allocation, drawdown status
    • Continuously look to develop and maintain the Resource Management dashboards in Power BI, ensuring accurate live data.
    • Own and drive the internal leave calendars and in doing so, understand when people will be out of office.
    • Ensure Programme and Project Managers are supported in adhering to all LSEG governance and internal resource management processes (e.g. Change Framework, Clarity), and in doing so drive the adoption of best practice across all projects.
    • Drive the implementation and adaptation of the resource management process across workstreams beyond the Tech M&A Centre of Excellence team.
    • Review and approve timesheets for Tech M&A resources, including internal Clarity timesheets and external agency timesheets.
    • Optimize the usage of Clarity as the primary resource management tool and provide training to effectively embed standard methodology across projects.
    • Document and maintain a record of key processes linked to resource management.
    • Design a process to analyse skillsets within Tech M&A to effectively forecast new demand and match tasks with resource skills.
    • Monitor employee workload and overtime hours.
    • Support the PMO Manager in the design of a "bench model" to ensure flexibility and adaptability within the Tech M&A team.

    Financial Analysis:

    Lead in the investigation and resolution of cost issues relating to project and programme spend

    • Identify, assess and document resource requirements, recommending priorities and advising the Programme Manager on options, risks and costs vs benefits for solution options
    • Liaise with Finance Business Partners, Tech PMs/PMOs, to ensure accurate reflection of incurred costs and forecasting between finance systems and Clarity (ERP).
    • Ensuring resources are correctly assigned to CapEx/OpEx timesheet codes based on activity.
    • Take charge of investigating and resolving cost-related issues pertaining to projects and programs. Conduct thorough financial analyses to support decision-making within the scope of the deal.

    Required Skills:

    • Resource Management Experience in the Financial Services industry, or similar.
    • Industry recognised portfolio, governance and project management certifications (e.g. MOP, P3O, Prince 2).
    • Recent, direct experience in a high paced, multi-project M&A project portfolio within a financial services organisation of a similar scale to LSEG.
    • Proficiency in human resources and project management software - Clarity.
    • Experience in managing budgets and optimizing resource allocations.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work with teams in multiple locations simultaneously.
    • Exceptional understanding of the change management process / lifecycle and its practical application, including experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
    • Demonstrated track record as a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritise among competing demands; ability to wear multiple hats and be both a "thinker" and a "doer".
    • Use of creative solutions regarding use of tools and technics to support delivery of objectives.
    • Desire for continuous improvement demonstrated through professional curiosity
