My name is Ovidiu Popeti, I’m 24 years old and I am one of the passionate proud members of the MACH program. I was born in Timisoara, a beautiful city on the “West Coast” of Romania and I have a technical background as I graduated from Electronics and Telecommunications Faculty.
Microsoft Academy for College Hires.. Ever since I heard about it for the first time got my attention. And here I am now, enjoying the journey to the fullest. By taking part of this program I had the chance to meet and connect with most talented young people from different regions of the globe, share ideas with them and build relationships.
Here, everyone guided me to rise above my limits, with the freedom of being myself. MACH Program taught me I am the pilot of my own career, whilst the trainers inspired me to achieve my true potential.
Two BIG takeaways from MACH Academy are not to be afraid about challenges, but to be confident to take them on and to let my ideas to be heard in the company. The most valuable gift is that I learned to listen actively. By learning from very inspirational trainers, I developed my emotional intelligence and I realized that diversity of thinking is the key of our success.
Through this opportunity we built a network.. a strong network which will bring Technology and Innovation at its peak through the projects we work on. More than this, now we have a TEAM who will design the future of Microsoft.

"My name is Raul Andrei Scortea and I am one of the exuberant, enthusiastic and proud members of the Microsoft Academy for College Hires program. My role within Microsoft is connected with the Unified Communication Support Team, as a Technical Engineer, located in Romania. In other words I am the Lync guy.
I studied Telecommunications Systems and Technologies at the “Politehnica” University of Timisoara Romania. Short after my graduation, I had the opportunity to participate in Microsoft Internship program. During the Internship at Microsoft I met the environment where very diverse people collide together, having their passion for IT and Technology as common ground. It became very clear to me that this is the place where I would very much like to continue my self-becoming.
So, Why Microsoft? Because it is the place where Technology is at its peak and where innovation, teamwork and multicultural interactions are daily happenings. Here, everyone and everything will guide me to overcome my limits, with the freedom of being myself along this journey.” Raul, MACH Romania

There is no new activity that resembles something I did before and no customer that has the same needs and requirements. That intrigues me and makes me even more motivated to exceed my customers’ expectations.
