Job Profile: Variable - Quality Operations Manager – Compliance Operations

Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global eCommerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses in seven countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, web services for developers.

We are looking for talented Quality Assurance Manager for our Compliance Operations team in Iasi. The role will support our rapidly growing and evolving businesses. You will be responsible for expanding and managing the quality audit framework for our compliance operations teams. You will work directly with Operations teams, Program teams, Retail teams, Legal, and a variety of global internal businesses and outside vendors to drive quality goals related to product compliance, import/export compliance across the supply chain and product safety.

Roles and Responsibility:

You will be responsible for multiple quality assurance teams, supporting multiple compliance operations areas. Duties may include:

- taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of quality assurance teams, provide feedback and advice to the operations managers, drive work execution according to agreed procedures, check accuracy / quality of work and achieve business goals related to quality. As an quality assurance manager, you would be responsible for managing a team of up to 30 quality assurances associates

- manage quality control specialists and managers in driving quality goals and in turn support internal business units to ensure compliance with Custom regulations and other trade requirements.

- work with various Amazon teams to formulate strategy, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies.

- work with Amazon’s internal technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class tools that will support our quality goals.

- leverage data to continuously improve Compliance Operations in Amazon.

- link all the programs to business metrics and built solutions keeping that in mind.

- scale the quality assurance team in a sustainable way, ensure roper budgeting and coverage

Key Performance Areas:

• Attract talent and makes right hiring decisions, On-boarding and continuous development of team and maintain a high delivery bar.
• Deliver business goals for processes handled.
• Operational metrics accuracy and Quality goals for specific business functions
• Mentor and guide quality and process experts in order to improve process efficiency, to minimize variation, and to conceptualize, design & deliver training sessions to the team.
• Co-owner in the process of budget planning.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree
• Managed organizations of at least 25 people, including directly managing 2 to 3 other managers
• At least 2 years experience in quality assurance related operations
• Possess strong communication and leadership skills
• Able to work in an ambiguous, dynamic & ‘internet-speed’ environment with tight deadlines
• Have an absolute passion for ensuring a great customer experience
• Possess exceptional skills in data manipulation and analysis
• Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills
• Be a self-starter
• Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience in business process improvement
• Lean Six Sigma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in Business administration
• Lean Six Sigma certification
