+2 years database administration experience
Proven experience with Oracle databases and willing to learn other DBMS (DB2, Sybase)
Experience in definition, writing and implementation of backup plans and disaster recovery strategies
Experience in system administration (Windows, Linux, Unix)
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience with SQL tuning and PL/SQL writing
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
English – advanced
1.Perform database administration, solve database problems, and ensure database security.
2.Maintain stable DBMS & relevant system operations critical for IT production processes
3.Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
4.Research, design, install, develop and test database solutions
5.Ensure database troubleshooting as well as monitoring and support.
6.Participate in system architecture design and planning.
7.Participate within technical meetings to find the best solution for a business problem
8.Provide support for development teams to integrate databases in different projects
9.Provide documentation and capacity management reports and database related information to the management as and when requested
