    • Experience of working in an environment of IBM Power machines running AIX 7.x, HMC and VIOS.
    • Experience providing support in medium to large scale infrastructure environments (change management processes, etc.)
    • Experience using ticketing systems.
    • Ability to work well with the team and on various projects (shared team environment)
    • Willingness to learn new things & technologies (automation tools, OS related, storage related)
    • Flexible if workflow is changing
    • Fluent English (spoken and written)
    • Communicative competence (pro-active)
    Nice to have:
    • ITIL Certified
    • Training skills in order to mentor junior team members
    • Ability to conceptualize problems
    • Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive
    • Experience with system monitoring tools and analyzing results
    • Bachelor degree, with a technical major such as Engineering or Computer Science


    • Creating and configuring new AIX LPARs, migrating to newer OS versions ,performing latest updates and upgrades, spotting and investigating issues
    • Preparing new systems to be introduced in the production network in accordance with the latest compliance rules
    • Performing security health checks and compliance reports for all existing machines
    • Keeping HMCs and VIO servers up to date, implementing various configuration changes
    • Using XCAT for group maintenance tasks
    • Creating and maintaining bash/ksh/perl/awk scripts to automate daily tasks
    • Usage of monitoring tools - Nagios, RRD
    • Creating and maintaining operational documentation
