Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
•Experience in participating in commercial Scala projects
•Experience with REST
•Experience with Docker
•Experience with Git
•Understanding of CI/CD
•Understanding of Scrum
•Understanding of messaging (Kafka) is a plus
•Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) is a pluss
•Experience with Spray, Akka, Reactive & Functional Programming is a plus
•Understanding Microservices, Event Sourcing is a plus
•Experience with AWS, Mesos, Marathon, Prometheus, Kibana is a plus
•Understanding of main principles of building highly scalable distributed systems, knowledge of one of mathematical theories describing distributed systems (pi-calculus, process algebra) is a plus, understanding of CAP theorem
•Experience with Spark and Big Data Streaming is a plus
•Experience Node.js, React.js, Redux.js, SASS are a plus
General Skills (non-technical)
•Good communication Skills in English
•Proactive position in solving both technical issues
•Transparent (speak out if there are issues, or the task is not clear enough, or assistance is needed)
•Willingness to learn (towards a full stack developer?)
•Team player
•Open minded
Working Relationships
•Product owner – remote, at the customer side
•Developers – combined: local (Levi9 based) & remote (at the customer side)
•Scrum Master – remote scrum master at the customer side
The Team
•The team is one of the teams involved in development process based on the Microservices approach
•Each team is responsible of a complete lifecycle (from designing till deploying) of one or several Microservices
•Each team consist of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and around 6 developers (including BE-devs, FE-devs, full-stack devs and QA-engineers)
Types of tasks the candidate will work on
•Supporting the full life cycle of a microservice or a set of microservices
•Designing and implementing new features
•Fixing bugs
•Ops-of-the-day activities: monitoring components in production, and reacting on possible production issues
•Participating in Scrum activities
