Lead System Test Engineer

Cmed Technology (Offices in Timisoara, Romania) helps research organizations meet the challenges of 21st century clinical trials. We are working to move clinical research to the cloud and we are looking for excellent System Test Engineers to test and validate encapsia™ - the next generation Clinical Data Suite that supports the clinical research and development of the next generation medication. The System is comprised of a wide range of web based and mobile applications that cover functionality like trial configuration, clinical data capture, data loading, data analysis or data validation.

The role:

This position is for an experienced and versatile Lead System Test Engineer to be part of our global team and contribute to the robustness and commercial success of encapsia™.

Responsibilities:
 

• Design and Implement System level testing strategies that assure the robustness and commercial quality of encapsia™
• Collaborate with the Product Owners for defining System level requirements and create test scenarios for optimal coverage of all interactions between the different web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with the Development, Hosting & Infrastructure, Product Operations and Clinical Research Organization departments, to achieve the ultimate goal of assuring a Perfect System that runs on cloud servers operated by our teams and used in real clinical trials.
• Interact and complement the existing Test Team that assures the component-level testing
• Build up an understanding of the clinical trials business in order to optimally foresee potential problems that the end-users will encounter
• Ensure a professional defense line of catching any problems before they occur at the end-users

Preferred qualifications
 

• 5+ years experience in System Software Testing
• Leading the System Testing of a commercial software product
• Professional, motivated and highly committed to assuring highest quality standards
• Technical degree
• Good understanding of software testing principles and commercial development languages, tools and practices
• Familiarity in testing web and mobile applications
• Familiarity with Cloud environment / Distributed Architecture
• Strong oral and written communication in English
• Familiarity with bug tracking, test management and collaboration tools
• Good attention to details
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with technical and non-technical people
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with dynamic requirements
