Electrolux Hungary is looking for a Material Saving Program Technical Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 3 years of experience, preferably in relevant areas with Project Management, Cost Outs or Research & Development

The Material Saving Program Technical Manager has the mission to ensure that his/her organization is delivering according to the plan of cost out activities. Such as execution of cost out teardowns, checking technical feasibility, organize and manage technical execution of cost out activities, provide technical data entry to MSP database, driving and follow up local cost out activities at R&D Hungary.

Essetial duties and responsibilities:
• Owner and driver of technical cost out activities; act as design leader in technical cost out activities
• Lead delegated technical team in Material Saving Program
• Cooperate in MSP (Material Saving Program) execution process, judge technical feasibility within R&D Team and deliver timing, investment cost
• Organize technical teardowns for products to generate new ideas, estimate potential saving opportunity
• Keep contact with all stakeholders in MSP Project
• Investigate and introduce new approach to cost out activities, find new technical solutions, engineering changes
• Keep and find contacts with consultant companies, universities, etc. to introduce new thinking into cost out program from technical point of view
• Manage and accelerate of MSP Competition program inside factory
• Ensure that MSP ideas and activities are implemented in time to mass production of the Factory, follow up weekly project status with delegated project members
• Support marketing related approvals, information share with local sales
• Update of MSP software database, continuous following of changes in database with R&D related data, alignment to global needs for the local organization
• Support MSP projects; provide information to Global Operation team and Global Cost Out Manager
• Follow up KPIs and work out new ones to provide better status report
