IBM has integrated Clarity Systems within its Business Analytics software portfolio and on 1st May 2011 we marked the start of the new IBM Bucharest Software Lab. IBM Cognos' products range from business intelligence to financial performance and strategy management to analytics applications. Several of the world's largest companies rely on them from running their financial operations to producing financial statements on time with accuracy, and ensuring complete auditability. The Cognos team is now looking to expand the Bucharest Software Lab with smart and motivated young graduates.Requirements
• Technical Diploma
• At least 3 year experience in Server or system administrator
• At least 2 year experience in SQL/DB2 scripting
• At least 3 year experience in Customer-facing technical support
• English: Fluent
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
• At least 5 years’ experience in server or system administration
• At least 5 years’ experience in customer-facing technical support
• At least 3 year of experience in a cloud solution delivery role
The Cloud Delivery Specialist is a key role in the fast growing and dynamic IBM Business Analytics customer success organization. This is a customer-facing technical support opportunity that requires solid skills in server, database and storage area network administration, hands-on experience with hypervisors and virtualized environments, and familiarity with software as a service (SaaS) delivery via Citrix-based technologies.
The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of virtualized application and web servers and related protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS, sFTP), as well as an understanding of single sign-on solutions and the SAML 2.0 standard. Our solutions are delivered on Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat and CentOS-based operating systems, so you must be capable and comfortable performing a wide range system administration, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on these platforms.
This role calls for someone who can communicate with confidence in writing and verbally, set and manage customer expectations, juggle competing priorities, and collaborate across teams on complex technical problems with a minimum of supervision. Cloud Delivery Specialists are also expected to be able to provide root cause analysis on outages and other issues within the cloud environment. Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role involving ticketing systems, either in a software support or consulting/services delivery capacity, is preferred.
We are a 24x7 operation. Cloud Delivery Specialists participate in a rotation that will require occasional off-shift work, including nights and weekends.
