Junior Underwriter

An Underwriter at NN Romania is responsible with evaluating the risks of insuring different sorts of clients. Based upon the information given by the client ( financial details, medical records, residential declaration, hobbies etc), the underwriter sets premium pricing for insurance policies.

At this job, you are expected to :

• Make the necessary check that refers mainly to:
  • documents sent in order to analyze risks
  • technical data entered into the electronic system
• Determine if additional information is needed for risk classification
• Evaluate the risk in terms of occupational, sports, hobbies, residential, medical, and financial
• Decide regarding the list of additional investigations (medical investigations, medical documents, technical information, etc.) required in order to classify the risk
• Assess the insurable risk according to guidelines and procedures
• Register in the system, the specific evaluation findings and the status of the requests that have been validated: issued / rejected / deferred
• Prepare and send letters to the customers, with the results of the assessment
• Offer recommendations for improvement/changes in the UW processes
   

• Student / University degree – preferably in Medical Sciences
• Knowledge of life insurance business
• English skills (speaking and writing)
