Telecom Implementation Engineer

Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.

Knowledge:
• Profound understanding of transport technologies ( Ethernet, PW, MPLS(-VPN), TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, ISIS, OSPF, etc. )
• CCNA and CCNP certifications
• Broad understanding of access technologies (xDSL, xPON, P2P fiber)
• Broad understanding of Telecom network architecture
• Profound understanding of Radio access technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR)
• Broad understanding of microwave, fiber, ODF design and planning.
• Broad understanding of Telecom network architecture

Responsibilities:
• Support for Cisco router integration / swap.
• Support for site integration/swap/upgrade for transmission equipment.
• Troubleshooting of integration issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely creation, update, and completion of all tickets, with prompt escalation and notification of incidents during operations as per technical instructions received from both customers and internal management
• Support for site integration/swap/upgrade for transmission equipment.
• Preventive maintenance and frequent consistency checks.
• Responsible of performing remote provisioning of network elements, activation, and termination of features, coordination of field resources necessary to fulfil such changes on site, performs or supervises routine moves, additions, changes and deletions.
• Answer phone calls and provide support and coordinate field resources during activities that
require technician on site
• Templates and summary files updates
