System Administrator Team Lead

Your initial focus will be on the daily management and monitoring of the current environment with a strong focus on maximizing and ensuring efficiency across the infrastructure. You will also be required to support new and innovative projects as they arise involving plenty of internal stakeholder exposure.

Coordinate the daily activities of the system administration team, set goals, evaluate performance, and develop the skills of team members.
Administer BigFix, MS SCCM, WSUS

Administer CommVault Backup & Recovery for AWS cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure

Administer VMware infrastructure

Take an active role in patch management, including but not limited to Microsoft and Linux patching

Take an active role in Disaster Recovery planning and processes

Monitor and ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of the network and systems

Identify opportunities for improvements to current technologies

Investigate ways to automate manual tasks

Contribute to project work relating to digital transformation and cloud/data center migrations

Administer and update our knowledge-sharing forums for relevant topics

Plan and complete system upgrades as required

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards

Have the ability to coordinate tasks and resources to deliver projects and resolve issues

Skills Requirements

BSc in Computer Science or a similar discipline

formal/informal previous experience as a Team Lead

8+ years’ experience in a similar administration/support role

3+ years’ experience of working with patch management tools (BigFix, SCCM, WSUS, InTune, BigFix)

3+ years’ experience working with CommVault Simpana 11 in AWS and on-premise

3+ years’ experience in managing VMware environments including SRM

Windows Server Operating Systems

Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP for multiple Windows domains

Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task while working to a deadline in a fast-paced working environment
