Sustainability Advisor

As a Sustainability Advisor you are working in our organization in defining and implementing the future sustainability strategy and roadmap of our energy solutions portfolio. You have to ensure that the results of CSR calculations assure competitiveness of the complete product. You evaluate product requirements with key partners i.e. Sales teams, Lead Engineers, Manufacturing teams etc. You are responsible for the development of a sustainable solution and support the full product life cycle across the business.

• Determination, interpretation, and disclosure of relevant contractual obligations and other requirements
• Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders
• Create proposals to respond to product-related customer inquiries.
• Development & implementation of sustainability aspects into the existing portfolio standardization
• Improve and establish sustainability processes and procedures (e.g. support a standardized approach for LCI)
• Measure environment impacts, carbon footprint and LCA calculations
• Advising on implementing support processes (e. g. product data management, substance/material management)
• Advising product managers and design engineers on procuring eco-friendly and environmentally safe products
• Monitor market and perform technical/commercial/sustainable analyses of solutions.
• Prepare and present product reports to the Portfolio Management and relevant collaborators
• Compile and monitoring of the product requirement specification for new developments and upgrades to existing products from a sustainable aspect considering LCA
• Develop & implement improvements into solutions portfolio based on LCA sensitivity analysis
• Carrying out training sessions
• Support of project planning activities under sustainability aspects (LCA calculation, cost calculation, contract comments)

• Higher technical education, University degree or equivalent experience, like Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Resource Management
• Excellent analytical skills to deal with technical problems and with customer requirements to provide valuable inputs
• Solution-oriented work and the ability to make decisions in a constantly evolving environment
• Experiences in assessing the environmental impact of Solutions with open LCA and SimaPro according 15804/15978 or 50693
• Experience in supervising EHS policies
• Experiences in evaluation of solutions considering market conditions
• Experiences in working with multi-functional teams
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, German language is a plus.

Within our project organization we drive the energy transition by managing, engineering and constructing big electricity infrastructure projects.

We work on customized solutions for power plants, whether it is the most efficient conventional power generation, industrial application for process steam or heat generation, hybrid solutions including renewable energy and their integration or making big steps toward decarbonation with hydrogen producing plants or environmentally friendly power generation on ships and barges. Further we are EPC contractor for high voltage converter stations -whether it is onshore or offshore- for transmission highways, high voltage substations and other grid technology projects to make electricity supply fit for future.
