Gi Group România is currently looking for a Hardware Layout Engineer , for one of the world's leading global independent suppliers to the automotive sector.

Experience and skills required:

Knowledge of Electrical schematic and PCB/Layout design, technology, and market;
Knowledge of automotive requirements for cluster, display, infotainment, and telematics products;
Cadence Design Systems;
Engineering processes and manufacturing interaction knowledge;
Knowledge of the standard of functional safety impacting electronics (ISMethods and Measures);
Layout and HW CAD design engineering for automotive applications;
Bachelor / master’s degree in electronic engineering (or equivalent as technician);
3-5 years of experience in a relevant field (layout and HW CAD design - automotive industry represents and advantage);
English language skills;

Main activities/responsibilities:

Represent the reference point for Schematic entry and PCB tools, PCB specification, simulation rules;
Ensure the quality of the PCB design by reviewing supporting PCB designers where needed;
Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing to ensure the right technologies are used to achieve quality and best-cost designs;
Own the Layout and HW CAD design process;
Monitor the workload of Layout and HW CAD design worldwide, through regional Hardware Function Leaders;
Ensure commonality and efficient reuse of transversal solutions and know-how for all different platforms and applications.
